Update on Accreditation Actions Taken by Regional Organizations

Regional accrediting bodies took the following actions last month:

Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools

University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, in Newark, a public institution

Action: Placed on probation

Issue: The action is a response to concerns over financial mismanagement at the institution and a failure of the board to provide adequate oversight. The move comes two months after a federal monitor's report described
