University of Wisconsin Fires Tenured Professor

The University of Wisconsin's Board of Regents voted last week to fire a tenured professor who was accused of acting unprofessionally toward colleagues and sexually harassing two students.

The board voted 11 to 3 to fire John B. Marder, a professor of mass communications on the Superior campus, two years after Julius E. Erlenbach, the chancellor, recommended his dismissal.
