University of Minnesota Signs Climate Agreement
The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, after months of hesitation, has signed the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment.
University officials said they were concerned that some of the goals of the commitment — notably climate neutrality — were not feasible. The Twin Cities campus is powered primarily by fossil fuels, including a great deal of coal, one of the dirtiest and least-climate-friendly power sources. Deborah L. Swackhamer,
