University of California's Digital Library Opens Its On-Line Doors
The California Digital Library opened last week on the World-Wide Web. The library -- the 10th in the University of California's nine-campus system -- is designed to be the on-line gateway to the university's card catalogue, as well as to at least 20 electronic data bases of journal articles and to hundreds of digitized documents and photographs that are held in special collections throughout the state.
