Universities Seek 'Sensible' Balance in Federal Oversight of Toxins in Research

Federal inspections of laboratories handling dangerous biological agents have grown so intense that they may actually harm national security by driving away top-level researchers and discouraging global collaboration, several university experts told lawmakers on Thursday.
