United Negro College Fund Raises $70-Million for Technology
The United Negro College Fund last month announced a gift worth $1-million from the Hewlett-Packard Company, raising to $70-million the amount that the fund has received in a campaign focused on the technology needs of its 39 member colleges. The company will provide printers, desktop computers, servers, and laptops to member colleges.
The first phase of the $80-million technology campaign, completed on October 1, was directed at upgrading the infrastructure within the colleges'
