United Arab Emirates Creates Foundation for Research; South Korean Court Upholds Tutoring for Key Exams; Indian College to Teach the American Language
After lamenting the lack of scientific research in the Arab world, scholars have announced the establishment of the Arab Scientific Foundation at the University of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.
The announcement was made last month at a conference organized by the emirates' ruler, Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed al-Quassimi, who also gave $1-million to the foundation, according to Agence France-Presse.
