Union Case Returned to Labor Board
Show, don't tell: That's what the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit told the National Labor Relations Board last week.
A three-judge panel of the appellate court ruled the labor board had insufficiently explained its reasoning when it decided, in 2004, that professors at Point Park University, a private institution in Pittsburgh, could form a union because they played no significant managerial role at the university.
