Ukrainian Scientists Alter Plant's Genes to Measure Radioactivity

Ukrainian scientists say they have created genetically altered plants that can be used to measure DNA damage induced by radiation.

Scientists at the Inano-Frankivsk State Medical Academy and other institutions created the plants and tested them in the area near the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the site of one of the world's worst nuclear accidents.
