USC Bars Student Newspaper's Editor From Reassuming His Position

An administrator at the University of Southern California has barred the top editor of the student newspaper from reassuming his position for the spring semester.

Journalism faculty members at the university said they could not recall any other time in the newspaper's history when the administration had not honored the students' choice for editor in chief. Zach Fox, a senior majoring in journalism, was re-elected to the job by a vote of 37 to 21.
