U.S. Treasury Department Lifts Restrictions on Authors in Embargoed Countries
The U.S. Treasury Department ended restrictions last month that forced American publishers to apply for a license when they wanted to edit or publish works by authors in some countries under trade embargoes. The change came two years after the department was first asked to clarify whether trade embargoes apply to publishing, and seemingly contradicts several interim decisions.
