U.S. Supreme Court Lets Ruling in Whistle-Blower Case Stand
Lower court's logic in Indiana lawsuit could leave colleges more vulnerable
The U.S. Supreme Court declined last week to hear a case involving a whistle-blower's lawsuit against Oakland City University, letting stand a lower court's ruling that lawyers say will increase colleges' exposure to such litigation.
The lower court ruled last fall that the university, a small, Baptist institution in Indiana, could be taken to trial for allegedly making false statements to the government
