'U.S. News' Releases 2007 Rankings of Professional Schools

Harvard Law School dropped to third place, and the University of Pennsylvania’s medical school rose to third place, in rankings of graduate and professional schools compiled by U.S. News & World Report and published today as its 2007 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools. The rankings, which will appear on newsstands on Monday, are scheduled to be available today online.

Among the law schools, Harvard fell from second to third, behind Yale and Stanford Universities. Among medical schools, Washington University in St. Louis fell to a tie for fourth and Penn rose to third.

And among education schools, Teachers College at Columbia University moved up from fourth to second. Harvard retained the top education school, as well as the top business school and top medical school.
