U.S. Navy and West Virginia Offer Free-Tuition Deal to State Residents
West Virginia signed an agreement in August giving a free year of community or technical college to state residents who enlist in the U.S. Navy.
While the Navy has such arrangements with a few community colleges, this is the first statewide program.
Under the agreement, the Navy will pay students' academic expenses, giving each enlistee $1,200 a month to cover tuition and living costs, for a year of education before they report for duty. The Navy will
