U.S. Naval Academy Investigates Plagiarism Charge Against Historian
The United States Naval Academy is investigating whether one of its history professors, Brian VanDeMark, committed plagiarism in his new book, about the development of the atomic bomb.
The allegation was first raised in an article published last month in The New York Times. The article said that two reviewers of the professor's book, Pandora's Keepers: Nine Men and the Atomic Bomb, published by Little, Brown, found that it "includes more than 30 uncredited passages that are identical,
