U.S. May Extend Security Clearances
The federal government is considering extending security clearances for foreign students and scholars for up to the duration of their study or appointment, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
The current clearances are good for only one year, and the need for regular renewals has led to delays for foreigners coming to American campuses.
