U.S. Lags Behind Some Countries in Capitalizing on IT, Report Says
In the race to take advantage of information technology, the United States is falling back, while European countries, particularly those in Scandinavia, are surging ahead, says a report released late last month.
If not for its strong higher-education system, the United States would be slipping even farther behind, said the document, which was issued by the World Economic Forum.
The annual report includes a Networked Readiness Index, which measures a country's infrastructure,
