U.S. Is Urged to Give More Details on Database for Tracking Foreign Students

College lobbyists are urging immigration officials to share more information about a national database for tracking foreign students before putting it into use.
In a letter last month to the Immigration and Naturalization Service, David Ward, president of the American Council on Education, warned that if colleges aren't told how to prepare for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, the database may not be "fully functional" by the January 1, 2003,
