U.S. Education Secretary Gets a C for Clout
U.S. Education Secretary Roderick R. Paige spends much of his time criticizing the performance of America's public schools and schoolchildren. A recent magazine report suggests that he might want to pay more attention to his own job performance.
The National Journal, which covers politics and lobbying, devoted an issue last month to assessing the effectiveness of each of President Bush's cabinet members. Mr. Paige received some of the worst grades among his colleagues.
