U.S. Clarifies Rule on Research Used by Agencies
The Bush administration this month clarified new guidelines that govern the quality and objectivity of scientific information released by federal agencies. Research published in peer-reviewed journals will usually meet the minimum criteria for quality, but exceptions may arise that would require researchers to release their raw data, the clarification states.
