U.S. Appeals Court Allows Sex-Bias Suit Against NCAA to Proceed
A federal appeals court ruled last month that a former volleyball player's sex-bias lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletic Association can proceed because the association may yet be deemed to be a recipient of federal funds. The NCAA has long insisted that it is not susceptible to federal discrimination lawsuits because it receives no federal funds.
