UCLA Student Seeks to Form Union for College Athletes

John Henry and Ramogi Huma. It's an unlikely combination.

But the spiritual descendants of the steel-drivin' man are teaming up with Mr. Huma, a former football player at the University of California at Los Angeles, to advise him as he starts what could turn into a union of college athletes.

Mr. Huma and representatives from the United Steelworkers of America unveiled the Collegiate Athletes Coalition at a meeting in January.
