UCLA Plans External Investigation of Police Officers' Use of Stun Gun on Student
The University of California at Los Angeles plans to hire an independent investigator to examine whether campus police officers used excessive force when they shot a student with a Taser stun gun last month.
The officers repeatedly used the weapon on Mostafa Tabatabainejad, an American citizen of Iranian descent, after he failed to show his identification in a library.
