UCLA Grants Tenure to 25-Year-Old Mathematician; San Francisco State Draws Ethnic-Studies Dean From U. of Michigan
Terence Tao is only a few years older than most undergraduates, but he's already earned tenure. The University of California at Los Angeles made him a full professor this spring after only three years of teaching. Mr. Tao just turned 25.
