U. of Wisconsin to End Campus Votes as Basis for Disbursing Student Fees
Although it won a major battle at the U.S. Supreme Court over mandatory student fees, the University of Wisconsin has decided it has an exposed flank.
The court ruled unanimously in March that the university did not trample anyone's First Amendment rights by letting its student leaders give mandatory-fee revenues to campus groups that some students oppose. At the same time, however, the court was troubled by a university policy allowing the student government
