U. of Wisconsin Regents Oust an Outspoken Colleague
Wisconsin officials have swatted a gadfly.
The smushed one is Anthony J. (Nino) Amato, who was president of the Wisconsin Technical College System's governing board and, in that capacity, held a seat on the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents.
Mr. Amato, who is also president of a Madison-based consumer-advocacy group, got on the wrong side of members of the university and technical-college boards last September. That is when he abstained from, and then publicly criticized,
