U. of Wisconsin Athletes Suspended for Shoe-Store Discounts
The University of Wisconsin at Madison's football team will be without the services of 26 players for up to three games this season because the athletes received special discounts at a local shoe store.
The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced its decision about six hours before the Badgers opened their season against Western Michigan University on August 31. Eleven of the players were suspended for three games, and the rest for one
