U. of Washington Extends Presidential Search; President of Jacksonville U. Will Retire in Wake of Deficit News
INTERIM NO MORE: The University of Washington's Board of Regents thinks that even temporary stability in the president's office may help in a difficult search for a long-term chief.
So the regents voted last month to award a contract to the university's interim president, Lee L. Huntsman, that will keep him in the job for another year and allows him to drop "interim" from his title, according to the board's president, Gerald Grinstein.
