U. of Virginia Halts Use of Scoring System That Helped Black Applicants
University of Virginia President John T. Casteen III has quietly ended his admissions office's use of a scoring system that awarded extra points to black applicants.
Mr. Casteen made the change four months ago but did not publicly acknowledge his actions until this month,
