U. of Virginia Considers Possibility of Future Donations in Admissions Decisions
University of Virginia officials confirmed last week that they sometimes take into account during the admissions process the likelihood that an applicant's parents will give money to the institution.
The student newspaper at Virginia posted on its World-Wide Web site (http://www.cavalierdaily.com/) documents from the university's development office listing information about dozens of applicants and their family's finances.
