U. of Utah and State Legislature Are Close to Deal on Gun Ban
Colleges and universities in Utah would be able to regulate guns in student dormitories and faculty offices, under an agreement hammered out by higher-education officials and legislative leaders.
If approved by lawmakers, the measure would resolve a dispute over whether public colleges in the state have the authority to ban guns on their campuses.
