U. of Texas Files Patent Lawsuit
The University of Texas System has accused 14 electronics companies, mostly cellphone makers, of infringing an engineering professor's patented invention, and has filed a lawsuit to enforce its claims.
George V. Kondraske, who teaches electrical and biomedical engineering on the system's Arlington campus, developed a device and method that allow users to enter text messages on a standard telephone keypad.
