U. of Southern California Settles Title IX Complaint Over Women's Crew
The University of Southern California has settled a charge of noncompliance with Title IX, a key federal gender-equity law, following a 14-year investigation by the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights. The office found a "significant disparity" in one athletic program that put female athletes at a disadvantage.
