U. of Southern Calif. Urged to Rethink Tenure Denial Following Bias Accusations
A faculty grievance committee at the University of Southern California has recommended that it reconsider the tenure application of a female professor who had complained that the decision last year to deny her tenure fit a longstanding pattern of discrimination in the university's humanities and social-sciences departments.
In making its recommendation, though, the three-person committee said it had not found evidence that the university "intentionally or specifically" discriminated
