U. of South Alabama Gains More Control Over Its Foundation
After a two-year legal battle, the University of South Alabama has wrested more control over the foundation that oversees its $278-million endowment.
University groups will get to nominate finalists for two voting members -- one each from the faculty and the alumni -- that the foundation will select. Also, the president will become an ex officio member on the foundation's 21-member board as part of last month's settlement. Previously, the university had three ex officio members on
