U. of Phoenix's Parent Company Names Former GOP Congressman to Board
The University of Phoenix has been working hard to build stronger ties to the Republicans who will be in charge of higher-education policymaking in the White House, Education Department, and Congress.
The Apollo Group, the university's parent company, has appointed William F. Goodling, a former Republican congressman from Pennsylvania who headed the Committee on Education and the Workforce in the House of Representatives, to the university's corporate board.
