U. of Phoenix and Satellite-Technology Company to Team Up
The Apollo Group, parent company of the University of Phoenix and the nation's largest for-profit provider of education, will work with Hughes Network Systems, a leader in satellite technology, to create a new company devoted to distance education.
The move represents a marriage of "content" and technical expertise, Apollo officials said, combining Apollo's instructors and curricula with Hughes's expertise in high-speed Internet
