U. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Lures U. of Nebraska's Chancellor

James C. Moeser, chancellor of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, will jump from one flagship campus to another. After an eight-month search, the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina this month chose him to become chancellor of the system's main campus at Chapel Hill.

The news surprised many at both Nebraska and North Carolina. He was nominated by Chapel Hill's Board of Trustees at an emergency meeting called by the chairwoman, Anne W.
