U. of North Carolina Wins Suit Against Pornographic Web Site
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has won a $325,522 judgment against the operator of a pornographic Web site called UNCGirls.com.
Judge William L. Osteen, of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina, ruled that the defendants, Jack R. and April M. Erickson, of Scottsdale, Ariz., had infringed on the university's "UNC" trademark in running the site. It is no longer in operation.
