U. of North Carolina System Takes Control of Finances on Campus Criticized in State Audit
The University of North Carolina system has taken charge of financial matters at the North Carolina School of the Arts.
The move comes after a state audit revealed that nearly $1-million had been diverted to nonacademic uses. System officials will review and approve budget transfers, overtime charges, new hires, and job transfers until further notice.
