U. of North Carolina Signs Nike Deal
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has signed an eight-year contract with Nike worth more than $28-million in cash and athletic shoes, apparel, and equipment.
Under the agreement, signed last week, all merchandise carrying the university's logo -- including, for the first time, team uniforms -- will be manufactured under anti-sweatshop labor codes set out by the university and the Fair Labor Association, an organization backed by apparel makers and major
