U. of New Hampshire Rescinds Housing Preference for Minority Students
The University of New Hampshire this month abandoned a plan to give preferential treatment to minority and international students for on-campus housing.
The proposed policy would have exempted such students from a lottery that would have forced some upperclassmen to move off campus. But, after some white students objected and a university lawyer called the plan's legality unclear, administrators dropped it -- to the dismay of some minority
