U. of Missouri Agrees to Settle Tuition Case
The University of Missouri System has agreed to settle a class-action lawsuit alleging that it violated state law for 15 years by charging tuition to its in-state undergraduate students.
The settlement, announced by university officials last week, calls for the system to place $10-million in a scholarship fund benefiting roughly 104,000 former students who had enrolled as in-state undergraduates during part of the period in question. The spouses and children of such former students
