U. of Minnesota-Twin Cities Picks an Inside Candidate as President

The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities has picked Robert H. Bruininks, a longtime administrator and professor of educational psychology at the institution, to be its next president.

Mr. Bruininks, who has served as interim president since August and has worked at the university for 35 years, replaces Mark G. Yudof, who left to become chancellor of the University of Texas System.

Mr. Bruininks, who is 60, was the only finalist for the position. He will receive an annual base
