U. of Michigan and Nike Strike a New Deal
The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and Nike Inc., which had a very public falling out last spring, have reached a lucrative new agreement for uniforms and equipment for the institution's teams for the next seven years.
The contract, which was signed in January, doubles to $1.2-million the cash payments that Michigan will receive annually from Nike, compared with the former contract. Michigan will also get a 10-percent royalty on the sale of all
