U. of Michigan Opens Up Homegrown Software
Two popular academic-software tools developed at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor are being rewritten as open-source tools in collaboration with other institutions. The decision reflects a new focus on collaboration and open standards for in-house software projects, says a university official.
