U. of Miami Receives Major Gift
The family of a deceased South Florida businessman has pledged $100-million to the University of Miami's School of Medicine, the university announced last week.
The pledge comes from a fortune amassed by Leonard M. Miller, a home builder and former chairman of the university's Board of Trustees. He and his wife, Susan, were longtime supporters of the university, particularly the medical school, which will be renamed for Mr. Miller.
The gift has few spending restrictions attached
