U. of Maryland Students Seek to Police Their Peers at Games
University of Maryland students want to rein in their notoriously obnoxious fans themselves, rather than having the university punish them.
Putting themselves in charge was the chief recommendation of a student committee's report published last month. A university spokesman said officials on the College Park campus supported the committee's proposals, and plan to set aside $15,000 to help carry them out.
