U. of Iowa Gets More Help for Flood-Recovery Effort
The University of Iowa, still recovering from the flood last June that inundated buildings and knocked out utility systems, is in line for an additional $8.6-million in federal assistance to help pay for repairs to a large science-and-engineering complex called the Iowa Advanced Technology Laboratories. Meanwhile, administrators are gearing up to decide whether two other big facilities can be repaired or should be torn down and replaced.
