U. of Georgia's New Team Color: Yellow

Football fans at Saturday’s homecoming game at the University of Georgia at Athens were being asked to leave the job of flushing the toilets to stadium bathroom attendants, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

Georgia is suffering a severe water shortage, and the university is trying to do its part with a conservation campaign called “Every Drop Counts.” The attendants were on hand to ensure that people don’t flush “if it’s yellow.”

Conservation doesn’t come quickly, however. Two old-fashioned trough urinals, with water constantly running through them, were still available for use Saturday. —Don Troop
